Two Lifetime Memberships Awarded

The St. Johnsbury Band has honored two of its members, Deborah Smith and Edith Anne Emery, by awarding them the Bands highest recognition, Lifetime Membership. These awards were made at the annual meeting on November 10, 2007, at the Knights of Pythias Hall in Danville, VT. Lifetime membership is given only to band members who have given enduring time and made significant efforts to advance the goals of the St. Johnsbury Band.

Both Emery and Smith have played with the band for several decades. Smith plays the French horn and is currently serving as a Trustee in the Band. Her dedication and good humor contribute much to rehearsals and performances. Emery has been the bass drummer for many years and has also played the saxophone for the Band.
