St. Johnsbury Band
The St. Johnsbury Band was founded in 1830 and has been in continuous operation since that time. The Band is an important part of the community and sees the following as its purpose.
Promote social welfare and civic betterment by providing music for parades and concerts and other events in St. Johnsbury and surrounding communities.
Provide musical educational opportunities for members and residents of St. Johnsbury and surrounding communities.
Present music as a cultural activity to the residents of St. Johnsbury and surrounding communities.
Provide a musical organization in which musicians of all ages and abilities may participate.
The St. Johnsbury Band was issued its Certificate of Incorporation on August 3, 1982 by the State of Vermont. The Band may perform other functions and activities as permitted by law to Vermont non-profit organizations and as may be consistent with the permissible functions of a tax-exempt civic or charitable organization under federal income tax law.
Donations to the St. Johnsbury Band are tax deductible as allowed by federal tax laws.
